Go on.

That’s all there is to do sometimes.
Go on
And on.
I’m chomping at the bit in my mouth
Longing to go in another direction.
Not that any of those paths
Are necessarily any better
But this one is leading me
It’s got me bridled and saddled
With a heavy cart at my back.
No matter how much I resist
I will still have to go on.
But I chew and chew on this bit
Waiting for the signal
That I can run free in a new direction.
