The Hamlet Project

Sometimes all I want to do is watch
To give up any sense of having to do –
To surrender to what is before
And just float along on the narrative someone else created
That someone else is responsible for –
A world in which all the decisions
Have already been decided
Where tragedy is either inevitable
Or forestalled
Inevitably
Because someone made it that way.
Some nights
Nothing else will do
But to find some way to watch.
